These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Substrate System (the "Service"), including any courses, content, and related materials. By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

License to course content

When you enroll in a course, we grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and view the course content for your personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not share your account credentials, redistribute course materials, or use the content to build a competing product or service.

Payments and refunds

Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider. All purchases are in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. If you are unsatisfied with a course, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting us. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear to abuse this policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) copy, reproduce, or redistribute course materials outside the Service; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service; (c) use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others; or (d) interfere with the operation of the Service.

Intellectual property

All content on the Service, including text, video, audio, code samples, graphics, and the design of the site itself, is owned by Substrate System or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Code samples shared as part of the course curriculum may be used in your own projects unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any specific educational outcome will result from your use of the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Substrate System will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a manner that may cause us legal liability or harm other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.
